Marie Simpson is all about joy and the exhilaration of feeling a oneness with life. She began this magical practice of yoga in 2000 and is consistently blown away by the power of breath, movement and awareness to bring brilliance to every moment. Marie is a firework with plenty of energy and world-class hugs, and her teaching style is grounded and inwardly focused, while also uplifting and fun. She studies yogic philosophy and transpersonal psychology, and she is most interested in the psycho-emotional experiences available through the practice of yoga, meditation, and mantra. Marie is inspired by students who are willing to soften their views of their body, who will commit to diligently being with their breath, and who can courageously bear witness to matters of the heart.

— Happy Client
It was truly fate when I found InBalance yoga teacher training with Kaitlin Armstrong. I came across an ad for the intensive teacher training program in Nelson, BC while I was travelling across the country from Yellowknife, NWT. The timing was perfect. When I called and spoke to Kaitlin I immediately got a good feeling and felt reassured that this should be part of my journey. She was so helpful, knowledgeable and went out of her way to to make YTT in Nelson, BC a possibility.
I’ll never forget the moment I was driving through the lush green forest and majestic mountains of interior British Columbia on my way to meet my fellow yogis. These little moments define you, and my heart was filled with excitement. The Mountain Waters retreat was a meditative paradise, the food was sensational, and the town was perfect.
Kaitlin Armstrong is a strong and fearless instructor who inspires passion from each of her students. Her excitement for healthy living and play was evident in everything she did. She taught each one of us to take life a little less seriously and have fun. I can’t remember the last time I had felt comfortable to truly let go and express myself, but Kaitlin made it easy for us to be exactly we truly are. I will carry that with me for the rest of my life. Her strong background in physiology and anatomy gives her a strong foundation on which to teach. She had a beautiful way of explaining anatomical structures and making them applicable in the expression of teaching yoga.
